Riley and the Snake

Coincidentally, Riley has been asking for a pet snake! After holding this one, she says she want one just like this, only smaller, calmer, cuter and tamer...

  1. She's such a brave girl... I'm not sure I would have held that snake! Yes, a smaller, tamer, calmer, cuter snake would be good... one that could travel along with you when you go places since I think I have to draw the line at pet sitting snakes. ;) Tell the kids that Peanut, Soda, Fluffy and ?(I can't remember the crabs name) are all doing fine. Where are you now??

  2. Right now, we're in Vista, California. I still don't have wireless for my laptop so all of this is taking a while! We miss you guys...and all of the animals!

  3. I hear snake tastes like chicken, then what does chicken taste like?

I am too techno impaired to be a follower, but I added you to my blogroll (woo-hoo, you've made the big times!)

When you get back you should go to the National wildlife arsenal, they have snakes and you can feed them and stuff, maybe that would take away the need for a pet!

  4. The expression on Riley's face is less than thrilled, it seems. She is a very brave girl; much braver than her great-aunt.

  5. Thanks Liese, I actually don't even know how the followers thing got there! I'm fairly techno challenged also. We'll have to check out the arsenal, all of the kids love animals.

I think once Riley realized that snakes eat mice, she'd be over the snake thing, she has a pet mouse that she's pretty attached to!

Mom, the crabs name is Spidey, it has also been Crabby and Big Mean Crab so don't worry about forgetting it, the kids forget and rename him pretty often.

Hi Jackie, Riley is brave. She was too funny, bullsnakes are constrictors so it kept squeezing her hands, she thought it felt like hugs!
